About the Role: 

Join our team as an experienced Demolition Labourer for a 4-6 month project for our client in the heart of Brisbane’s CBD! You’ll be involved in dismantling walls, floors, and fixtures, removing debris, preparing work areas, and assisting with general site tasks. This role requires the use of hand and power tools, working at heights, and following strict safety protocols. If you’re reliable, physically fit, and safety-focused with a can-do attitude, we want to hear from you! Great opportunity for consistent work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Duties:

  • Prepare demolition sites by erecting safety barriers, sealing drains, and identifying hazards
  • Load, unload, and move building materials; stack and sort for removal or reuse
  • Manually dismantle structures using hand and power tools
  • Remove and dispose of debris and waste materials; assist with truck loading
  • Operate machinery and work safely at heights using lifts, scaffolding, and platforms
  • Use demolition tools including jackhammers, grinders, saws, and oxyacetylene torches
  • Follow strict safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times
  • Assist tradespeople with demolition and construction tasks
  • Perform excavation tasks such as digging trenches and shovelling rubble
  • Maintain site cleanliness and complete general labour duties as required

Requirements:

  • Minimum 12 months’ experience in a construction or civil role
  • Must have prior experience with oxyacetylene torches
  • A valid White Card
  • Working at Heights Ticket
  • High Risk Work Licence
  • Be able to provide your own PPE
  • Reliable transport to and from work
  • Be able to provide 2 professional references
  • Demonstrated initiative, reliability and strong work ethic
