A leading RTO organisation, with a vision to provide exceptional training and development services to Mining organisations and their employees. With a national footprint and contracts in place with leading mine sites – they are enjoying continued growth with plans to continue to deliver innovative solutions.

The opportunity:

A fantastic chance for an experienced training coordinator to oversee the training department on a brand new underground coal mine site. You will work alongside the client’s Health and safety team, to improve operational safety, compliance and ongoing skill development for employees and contractors.

This position is offered as a DIDO to the site in QLD’s Bowen Basin region working a 9 day fortnight.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, schedule and coordinate delivery of training programs for all site based staff.
  • Continually implement training programs based on the needs of the mine site across safety, equipment and regulatory compliance
  • Coordinate with onsite Trainer & Assessors to create schedules for onsite training sessions within agreed time frames
  • Monitor and report on effectiveness of delivered training material.
  • Work with site executives to identify and prioritise training needs.
  • Collaborate with Operations manager, ensuring that any changes to site policies and procedures are communicated – ensuring training remains compliant

Required Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of an experience delivering training in mining environments
  • Demonstrated experience with Learning Management Systems
  • The ability to work autonomously, and confidently collaborate with senior staff
  • Proactive approach to identifying issues, acting quickly to problem solve in a timely manner
  • Coal board medical and standard 11
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Experience in underground Coal mining would be an advantage
