About the Role: We are offering a permanent, full-time opportunity for Maintenance Electricians with experience in Electrical Systems to join our client’s site in Bathurst, NSW. As a new member of the team, you will receive ongoing training, working Monday to Friday in a highly supportive environment that fosters learning and growth. This role is perfect for a self-motivated and organised individual looking to play a key role in this site’s operations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and other duties as required by site management to ensure safe, productive and cost effective outcomes for site operation.
  • Adherence to business processes and industry standards ensuring all works are completed in a safe manner. This includes completing of risk assessments and Start Safe Stay Safe.
  • Review and update site electrical administrative systems including registers, drawings and procedures in consultation with Electrical Supervisor.
  • Safely operate and maintain site automation systems and make minor adjustments to automation systems as directed.
  • Participate in the design, installation and commissioning of major electrical projects. This may include from time to time travel away from your home base as required by the business.
  • Perform equipment inspections, identify improvement opportunities and report on findings
  • Be highly motivated and results driven with excellent time management skills
  • Work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team.
  • Be flexible with your workday and manage competing priorities
  • Strong interpersonal skills, enabling professional communication (verbal and written) with stakeholders.
  • Fault finding and problem solving experience (automation, electrical & process)

Skills and Experience

  • Certificate III in Electrotechnology
  • Current Electrician Current NSW Electrical Licence
  • Exposure to working in a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity working with PLC and SCADA systems
  • Basic computer proficiency relevant to the role (CMMS, O365)
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Strong commitment to OH&S
  • Proof of working rights in Australia
  • Manual Handling, Elevated Working Platform, Low Voltage Rescue, Advanced First Aid, SAP Experience, High Voltage Switching is preferred but not mandatory
