Chef & Duty Manager

About the role:

We are currently seeking a Duty Manager and a Chef to work at a Hospitality venue in Middlemount, Qld. The successful candidates will take part in a Mining pathway program which allows the candidate to live and work in the local community for 12 -18 months. After the initial 12-18 months the successful candidate will be eligible for a new to industry mining traineeship with one of our local mining clients.

The required skills for these positions will include:

Duty Manager:

  • RSA & RSG required
  • Experience with gaming functions required
  • Prior Bar tending, Gaming Attendant & Customer service experience required
  • Proof of Australian working rights (Birth Certificate/Passport)
  • Able to live and work in a remote location


  • Trade qualification preferable, however applicants with strong experience as a Cook will be considered
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Cook (if not Trade qualified)
  • Food handling certificate
  • Proof of Australian working rights (Birth Certificate/Passport)
  • Able to live and work in a remote location
