WINNERS One Key Resources "Safie" Competition: A moment that matters

22/11/2016

Each October, we celebrate National Safe Work Month to reinforce the One Key Resources commitment to health and safety.  This year, we decided on a fun and creative strategy to celebrate our employee’s commitment to a safety culture at work or at home.

To participate in the “Safie” competition, our employees were tasked to capture a safe selfie or “Safie” and to send it through for judging.  The competition was fierce and a tremendous success as our employees provided “Safies” of what they do at home or work to stay safe.  There were some fairly creative entries and others that inspired us.  Thank you to all entrants and it is with great pride that we announce the winning three entries.

1st Prize:  Robert Walker – Grosvenor.

Modelling and demonstrating safe behaviour to our most important asset.

2nd Prize:  Zane Bray – Moolarben Underground.

Zane and his mates live in that part of NSW that always seems cold.  Zane has re-cycled an old discarded wash plant screen and converted it to a fire fire-pit.  Zane took the time to add a barrier.  Zane says it provides a barrier to any wood falling out and it keeps the fire going all night without going near it to add further wood.

3rd Prize:  Paul Weir – Coppabella & Moorvale.

Work safe – Home safe – From the work week to the weekend – safety behaviour becomes a habit when we consistently approach a task with a safety attitude.

Congratulation to all the winners and we hope they all enjoy the rewards and prizes of being Safety minded.
